Why can't EA send me a password reset e-mail?

So I decide I want to try out battlefield but it turns out I must have registered my e-mail account with EA forever ago and now I don't know what the password is. Funny enough my sister-in-law is in the same boat. So we both initiate a password reset and for some reason they e-mails never arrive. We try again, nothing. Everything is correct. Has anyone ever successfully reset their password with EA? How is such a simple fail possible?
 
I tried to reset it a long time ago for BF1943 and it never showed up days later so I just said forget it. Funny enough this time it finally showed after a few hours.
 
better hope you didn't type some random crap for the special question cause sometimes you need that aswell which always screws me over lol
