I got this for christmas http://www.uniwill.com/products/performance/259ia3/259ia.php?HL=1&P=1 from ibuypower.
My problem is that i get a white screen once in a while during: playing games, typing up an essay, laptop just sitting and doing nothing, once it was supposed to turn off monitor after 20 min idle and the screen turned white. WTF? this is soooo annoying i mean the screen just turns white and nothing else happens in the middle of me doing stuff, it does this randomly no matter what im doing on the laptop, sometimes im not doing anything and it does that, i have to forcefully shut down and reboot. I visited http://notebookforums.com/ at least 5 people have same latop as me, but no one has this white scrren problem but me.
Heres what ive done to try and solve the problem:
Formatted 3 times, tried 3 different drivers for video(yes from manufacturer, also tried omegas), 2 different for everything else, everything updated, even the bios. I thought it would stop doing that after a while, you know like the break in period, but its been 5 months, and same problem persists, so its still under warranty from ibuypower, my last resort is to send it back and tell them what i wrote here. Any suggestions?
Would they send me a new one? or rma the old one? ive heard some horror stories about ibuypower experiences.
