Calendar year or fiscal year? Because we're in the fourth quarter of the federal fiscal year in the US .I would think if you were interested in this cpu that you would have paid attention to the release date or at least googled it. It does not come out until Q4.
Is it going to have any hardware mitigation, or is Intel just pushing through still? Also known as Skylake v4.1
It's a 9900k on steroids with more cores and a lil higher boost clocks I believe. I'm interested in doing a new build around this cpu as well. So I'm waiting till fall.

He could be think of that special 14 core sku that is only available to OEMs.Wrong. It's a 9900K that boosts to 5.0GHz on all cores. As I understand it, there are no other changes to the silicon.
that was for x299 though and would have been the X sku right?
There is a Core i9 9900X which is a 10c/20t HEDT CPU for X299 / LGA 2066 motherboards.
Why would you have to guess when you could have simply googled it in much less time than it took you to type that out?BTW. I'm guessing the 9900 x is probably a1200 dollar cpu. If I'm guessing right?

Has anyone seen one?
Is anybody selling it?
I didn't know we should now be expecting a new CPU release every 6 months. It's almost as if different companies have different release schedules .Its not in here... move along, nothing new to see at Intel right now
Yeah, they do... One released a new product, the other is adding +++'s with minor updates because they are completely off track on their 10nm schedule. They both typically do refreshes (very minor speed bumps) and bigger releases (slightly larger increases). AMD was barely releasing anything for a while, now it seems Intel is doing minor refreshes since.. well, since 6th gen pretty much.I didn't know we should now be expecting a new CPU release every 6 months. Those 40 deg shown on the pic surely are on idle...October if anyone still cares.

You've got to give Intel time to stockpile a few golden sample chips.
Waiting for it also.... Will amazon have it in stock when it is released?
