Where do I stand? FPS2000

Speakers are speakers, right? How much could they have advanced over the past 3-4 years?

I'm still using my 4.1 Cambridge Soundworks FPS2000 speakers.

Have speakers improved any to warrant an upgrade?
 
Multimedia speakers have indeed improved significantly.
They have become louder and have increased the quality of their output.

Other types of speakers have not seen such jumps in quality because they didnt start out so sucky.
 
Like he said above. I still have my FPS2000 from years back and they work fine and all but new speakers blow them away. Going to the Monsoon MH-505, sure there was less bass but it was alot more detailed. Then I went to the Klipsch Promedia Ultras, well that simply destroyed them in every aspect, after my Ultras died, I decided to go the Gigaworks route and went with teh S700's to me it also did the same what the Ultras did to those FPS's. Theres just so much more detail to be heard, better quality bass, better midrange. YOur music/movies will sound better, gaming sounds even better.
