I know they are discontinued but I was wondering if I can still get them.

Im interested in the Mushkin Black Level 2 PC3200 , OCZ Platinum Limited Edition PC3500

Are Buffalo PC3700 DDR good for overclocking? I know they use BH5 chips

Newegg is not an option for me because I don't live in the US. The mushkin 222 special are BH6 chips not BH5

Not sure if you can find them retail anymore, Check out the trading forum here i know a few months ago people had a bunch of sticks of mushkin lvl2 that they were selling with bh5.

bh5 isnt king anymore that new corsair memory the xl stuff is amazing and overclockers very well. right now im running synced 250mhz cas2.5 3-3-6 2.8volts ic7 max3. best of both worlds cas2 2-2-5 pc3200 up to around 215 or so and loosen it up and it goes real far

xms3200xl is the new corsair im selling my bh5 now that i have this corsair. its much much better imho than bh5 was

Dude, what nonsense are you uttering? The Corsair is not on par with BH-5 at all. It can't pull 250 FSB at 2-2-2-11 CAS 2/ 1T, it can only do those timings at 200FSB, and to get to 250 FSB it needs at least CAS 3 and 3-3-7.

So no Corsair is not "king", it needs 2.75V just to achieve its rated speed, and no matter what voltage you give it it can't do tight latency at high FSB. This doesn't matter so much on your Intel, but for AMD XP it does, and to some extent AMD 64. Fuse some BH-5 with 3.3V and it is irreplacable...

And by the way I'm selling 2x256 BH-5s that pull 250 FSB at the aforementioned timings/settings in the forums.

the Mushkin Special 2-2-2 sticks with BH6 chips are also good overclockers. they just need a little more voltage than BH5 will.

anyway, your best bet is to check out the FS/FT forums here and on other boards. hopefully you'll either be able to find someone in your country or someone willing to ship international.

exactly it takes volt mods which alot of people dont want to do. out of the box overclocking the corsair looks very good. all bh5 ive ever used was good but need some serious voltage to attain high speeds

i've got some Mushkin PC3500 LV2 sticks right here that will do 230MHz 2-2-2-11 with 3.0v. i haven't done any vmods to my board either.

if you're able to push a LOT of voltage, the BH6 chips are arguably better than BH5. arguably. ;)

yeah man dont be hung up on this bh-5, save your money and get some bh-6 or something. all ya need is more voltage and youve gone past bh-5 somewhat with bh-6.

245 11-2-2-2-2 3.1v cpc on for bh-6 :)

Corsair XL (Samsung TCCD) is not better than BH-X. Partly because extra voltage doesn't do shit. Sure it will do 2-2-2-5 at 2.75 @200MHz, but it won't do 2-2-2-5 @250MHz, even if you give it 3.8vdimm.

You can find the legendary Mushkin PC3500 Level II on ebay, but be prepared to pay out the ass for it. I saw a 1GB set go for $420 recently - which is why I'll be selling mine soon and getting some Corsair Value Select for $200 - doubt I'll notice the difference since all I really do on here is watch porn and surf the web.

well i havent had good overclocking luck with bh-5 guess cause i didnt use mushy mainly buff tech and hyperx, but to me the corsair seems very good. how long will the ram last bh5 @3.2 volts doing cas2 -2-2-12 250mhz ?

interesting that so mnay want the BH5 I wonder what my x2 512 XMS Cousair PC3500 BH5 is worth..?

If I tell you where to get 512M sticks of BH5 for $114....will you give me a $50 commission?

Because it´s Corsair and uses better chips ;)

Nah I am just kidding Mushkin is great too.

Corsair XL isn't nearly as good as BH-5 or BH-6. It's not even as good as OCZ EB 3500/3700.

uwackme there is no guarantee those zipzoomfly khx3000 sticks are bh-5 at all. just because the picture on the website is of the older module heatspreader means nothing.

What do you mean OCZ EB 3500/3700 is just aweful! Try running 2-2-2-5 on those!

Well for no guaranty my 6 sticks just got lucky.

Actually they (pc3000) were out of production long ago, too long to have many made with CH5, and Zip's stock is esp old as it's still labeled with old Googlegear stickers.

They are sitting there....it's retail BH5 for cheap $, and I passed the info on... do what you like. Payday Im going back for 2 more sticks.

What are you going to do with all these sticks man? Don't you gotta pay rent or something lol. Are you hording them all up and then one day sell them all at uber-prices?

Don't wait too long. Once DDRII goes over 450MHz ( 900 theoretical ), I would imagine nobody would want to use DDRI by then.

According to [H]'s recent report DDR2 is a pile of cow dung for now. I don't know how long that will hold, whether they will be able to improve the latencies, or increase speed so much that the latency becomes irrelevant.
