I truly don't understand why motherboard manufacturers think that everyone wants atx. To me micro atx is probally the best all around motherboard. They should be able to build the board the same as a top tier atx motherboard just not have the extra sockets for add on cards. I have had micro atx motherboards that you could crossfire on , granted you couldn't have any other cardl, but that is a choice a person makes. I don't know about you, but my 2 atx systems do not have every slot populated anyways.
Ryzen boards are kind of a fiasco right now, to say the least... I think either they weren't prepared for the people that had sheer interest in it or AMD just didn't give them enough of a lead in time to get the boards prepped.
There's a solid crowd of both mATX users and m-ITX enthusiasts looking for options and they definitely need to address it soon!
Agreed. Would really like a solid overclocking ITX board to show up soon LOL
I expect these to be more popular when ryzen based APUs hit the market.

This was less true when Multi-GPU worked essentially all the time, and it's becoming more true as support fades- but do note that many manufacturers have put out hot-rodded mATX boards right alongside their ATX boards, and some (notably ASUS) have produced overbuilt mITX boards as well.
(also, generally speaking while you certainly could run two GPUs on mATX, this was a bit of a problem for cooling and really more trouble than it's worth)
I don't know, I think ASRock tends to do the more 'overkill' stuff - that X99 ITX board is pretty freaking hilariously overkill, imho
I was just wondering then Dan_D if you truly feel there is a decent enough micro atx motherboard out there right now. The last thing I want to do is put a $300 processor in a motherboard that shouldn't have a $100 processor it in. I have been looking at what is currently available for the last month, and all of them look to be very anemic on the power side of things. The last thing I want to do is put a system together and then fry my cpu when I have it overclocked and I am loading to the max doing something cpu intensive.
biostar has the itx boards listed on their website now. http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en-us/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=879#specification
Don't see them for sale anywhere but I swear they were not on the website yesterday so we may be close.
I'm DYING ? what the holy holy f&^% snowflake.
I think that was just a exaggeration......
Mid june and mid july before the out-of-stock Biostar motherboards get competition. That's a bummer...
What is wrong with it? I have one and love it. 5960x and a Titan Xp in a Sg-13 case that is portable and fits all my needs.I don't know, I think ASRock tends to do the more 'overkill' stuff - that X99 ITX board is pretty freaking hilariously overkill, imho

AsRock just announced a AM4 mini itx. It seems pretty good tbh.
