The 2016 thread started on march 1st 2016, we're in mid April.

I found the QLED TVs recently announced, but they start at $2500, whereas the 2016s almost maxxed out at that price.

and on the samsung website about the QLEDs

so where are the regular TVs that are going to replace the KU 2016 line?

The QLED Q7 and Q8 series are Samsung's 2017 flagships, I believe, above what was last year's KS9X00 models.

The more popular and mainstream KS and KU model replacements (the MU series) are also already out and available for more reasonable prices. the 55" MU8000 is $1500, which was about what the KS8000 was.
