I'm trying to download video streams from youtube, etc..I've tried the trial of GetFLV and it seems good but its expensive. Any suggestions?

Hmmm...haven't played with that stuff in a while but as of last year getflv was the best of all the tools I tried. Yeah...certainly pricey, though.

Will be interesting to follow this thread and see if there are any really good freeware options these days.

I bought Internet Download Manager and its works great at grabbing videos. The DEV constantly pushes out updates so it will always work with Chrome/Firefox/IE. So far its been worth $25.

It does have a trial.

This is a newer program that came out recently and its freeware so it can't hurt to try it.

Videohelp.com has a lot of other stream recorders and it tells you what pay/free/adware.
