So people, what video card have you used so far. Post a list of graphic card that you guys have used in you history of computing.

Well mine is a TNT2, Powercolour radeon 9200se and GigaByte 6600GT Turbo edition.

s3 virge 4meg dx in 1996

moved up to a tnt2 ultra 32 meg ... only 229 dollars!

voodoo 4 32 meg , 100 bucks.

geforce 2 ultra 64 megs , 140 dollars,, on sale,, resold it for 178 or so.

geforce 3 ti200.. overclocked it

geforce 4 4200 -GREAT CARD.

ati 8500 - horrible card... shitty , sent back to company.

geforce 6800 OC......

also owned voodoo 2, tnt2 m64, geforce 5200. also had a matrox g200 8 meg
and a kick ass 1 meg on board video w/ hewlet packard... woohooo.

overall my 6800 is the best out of all of them...

worst has to be that pos s3 virge and the 8500.

By far the 6600gt is the most impressive besides the Rage card with AIW, the recording is good for a card almost 6 years old.

Whatever the on-board video was with my old Packard Bell 1100 legend (486DX), No matter what anyone says, that was the best Packard Bell, I even played Duke Nukem 3d on it.

Radeon 9000 pro (Such an increadable upgrade from everything I had in the past)
Radeon 9600 pro
Geforce 4 Ti 4600 (Traded my 9600 for this, also got a bit of cash for it too.)
Radeon 9800 pro (Massive speed increase once again with this one)

Hercules Monochrome (Hah! Beat that! :D )

Okay... Original IBM MDA... basically Hercules without the graphics mode :)
Didn't actually use that as a primary card though... I got one of those cheap from some dump (full-size 8 bit card from the original XT), and I used it as a second display on my Pentium system, as a debugging monitor...

My primary cards would be...

Plantronics CGA/Hercules onboard card in my Commodore XT... used both the Hercules and CGA modes.
Western Digital Paradise VGA 8 bit ISA card with 256 kb (also in that XT).
Western Digital Paradise VGA 16 bit ISA card with 256 kb, upgraded to 512 kb.
Diamond SpeedStar PRO VLB card with 1 mb (Cirrus Logic 5428 chip).
Diamond Stealth 64 PCI card with 1 mb (S3 Trio64 chip).
Matrox Mystique PCI card with 2 mb.
Apocalypse 3Dx PCI card with 4 mb (PowerVR PCX2 chip), in combo with the Mystique.
Asus GeForce2GTS AGP card with 32 mb.
Club3D Radeon 9600Pro AGP card with 128 mb.
Built-By-ATi Radeon 8500 AGP card with 64 mb (borrowed from my brother, had to have a card because my 9600Pro died).

Other than that I also picked the cards for my brothers system, which I use from time to time:
Matrox Millennium G200 AGP card with 8 mb.
Matrox G450 AGP card with 32 mb.
Hercules KyroII AGP card with 64 mb.
Built-By-ATI Radeon 8500 AGP card with 64 mb.
AOpen GeForce 6800LE AGP card with 128 mb.

And of course back in the day I used a C64, and later an Amiga, both partly because their videochips were far superior to whatever PC had to offer... Heck, everything was superior :)
I never used PCs much, until for some reason all my friends started to get PCs and playing games on them... In the old days they all had C64s or Amigas. My dad already had a PC for work, so I just used that... I just put a good videocard in it, joystick card, soundcard, et voila :)
