What specs do I need to drive dual high res displays in 2d?

I have a 660 TI

My display setup is a 1080p monitor at 66hz for games and a 4K monitor for everything else.

I can run the 4K just fine at 60fps (over DP) if only one monitor is plugged in. As soon as I plug the second monitor in (over DVI), I am downgraded to 4K at 30fps.

I figure this must be a limitation of the card. I'd like to drive both monitors off one card with room for growth to a 1080p 144Hz.

What specs do I need to look at in a new card to determine support for 4K 60Hz and 1080p 144Hz simultaneously?

Any modern gpu can handle those just fine. You need to look at connections. Generally the newest hdmi and display port standards will handle what you need just fine.

Thank you for the "keep digging" encouragement. I am not sure why I could not get it working earlier but with some tinkering, I now have both displays running at my desired refresh rates.
