im looking into makeing a new server mostly website etc. but would maybe be recording my band with it. Anyways what mainboard should i get. im looking for it to last at least 5 years and still be competitve. i've noticed that some 1u cases can fit two Itx or microATX boards. would it be better to go that route or get a dual proc board. platform isnt that important but i've never owned intel (im an AMD guy) but im willing to expirement. Must be stable at least 30-60 days without a reboot. SCSI is something I wanna try. so ya please GMYO (give me your opinion).
