We've had Ryzen, and we've had Core (lakes) for a while now, and with each new generation we're seeing slight improvements, and really, a lot more cores.
What I would really like to see is bigger, wider, fatter execution units (like Ryzen) and bigger faster SIMD units like AVX-512 which still isn't on the desktop platform even though it was promised a long time ago.
Clearly there are gains to be made with AVX-512, but innovation in this area could make a huge difference long term to the x64 platform.
What do you wish there was more of ?
