I think it's a pretty good deal. My question is how is the x600se for light gaming? I play WOW and some other MMOs, maybe some BF2. I plan to get a DX10 card or a more powerful card later on so I just want it to hold me over for a bit. Overall I think the system is pretty powerful and fairly upgradable for the future. Your thoughts?

Too much crap involved. You can build your own pc with that price thats 5 x better than all that junk.

can i still get a monitor with it for around that price?

prolly not, but it is worth it to build your own, and you can find a nice lcd around 175

a friend of mine has the same system.. it's fine for WoW but BF2 will be running with low res and a low frame rates. And if you're thinking you'll want to get the newer games like GRAW.. be ready to be disappointed.

sure, you won't be able to beat that price for everything you're getting.. but it will be outdated pretty quickly.

I agree you might have to lay down some extra money for a monitor but you can a computer way better than that for 750$

This should be in General Hardware....

I recommend you save up some extra cash and build your own (wait for Conroe, ideally).

Doesnt Dell use a proprietary PSU connections to the motherboard ?
What will happen when you need a more powerful PSU for your new video card ? Only the high end dell's have decent PSUs.

Its much better to build your own imo (if I can do it anyone can), you get more bang for the buck. If cash is tight check ebay for decent deals with wholesale prices.

1. Wise Wing W902DB Black 19" 8ms - $195.99

2. eVGA 256-P2-N553-AX 7600GT - $179.00

3. LOGISYS Computer PS550ABK ATX12V 550W - $19.99
1. That's a 6-bit panel (16.2 million colors). Try and find a decent 8-bit panel (16.7 million colors) if you can.

2. Check into the N554-AX that I linked earlier. Slighty faster core and mem clocks as well as being cheaper after the rebate.

3. Another suggestion- Don't skimp on the PSU. It's one of the worst mistakes a person can make. Spend a little extra a go with somthing like the following: Antec TPII-550 -*- Fortron AX450-PN -*- Enermax Liberty 400

And certainly don't forget one of these.

I agree as well, don't get a dell--build your own system. It will pay off in the long run.

i hate to be the echo, but building ur own pc is definitely the way to go. beyond potentially saving cash, u can do things that would be prevented by most factory warranties, like overclocking.

if u do build ur own system, check newegg.com they are the single best resource for pc parts and software.

You will probly get the most respect around these parts if you just buy one of these with the extra long extra expensive warranty plan.

custom build, you'll be much happier in the short term and the long term, especially the long term.

and if you are buying right now this second, go AMD.
