What do I need to look out for in using a server PSU?

I want to build a custom sff enclosure; I want to know if I should be considering using a power supply like this 1U 560 Watt 80+ gold unit from supermicro:

I think the form factor will work better with a micro-atx case.

Am I missing any obvious problems?

Does anyone know what kind of noise these PSUs generate? The tiny fans are obviously a concern, but the high efficiency seems likely to mitigate.

Despite the high efficiency, if you put a large load on a 1U PSU, the fans will still ramp up and be quite noisy because of their small size and need to push a large amount of air through a dense and small PSU.

These things are designed for servers where silence is never a concern.

40mm fans are noisy little shits. Even in 94% efficient Supermicro 1U PSUs, with a 300W load (they are 1200-1400W PSUs) the fan is VERY noisy... at full load you need ear protection.

I would pass on the server psu, seasonic makes some good sff psus.
