Is there a way to use more than the standard fonts on a website without compromising compatibility? And without using images. I need to use the Aachen font for some captions but I do not want it to be images.

Not much you can do, if you stray away from the font standards theres a really good chance that the user wont have that font installed on their system and then your page will render incorrectly. Stick with the standards or, I know you dont want to, turn em' into images.

Neither will be particularly easy to implement, but if you've gotta use the font, they're both probably good ways to go.
