WD My Book 2TB External - $69.99 B&M Best Buy

Wow, says my local store has stock. I don't need any external storage but damn it's hard to resist. Any reason why it says for Mac?
 
I would venture a guess that it is pre-formatted with the filesystem that Macs use. Should be easily formatted to NTFS or whatnot.
 
could this possibly be their green drive? the best buy specs dont list anything and the reviewers dont seem to know.
 
Let's see if they hassle me about a pricematch.

Just picked one of these up. I don't need it but now I have 2TB extra storage :p


Also, it is a green drive.
 
Picked up 2 from a local BB in Virginia Beach; price matched with no issues. There were like 5 more available if anyone in the area lives near Princess Anne RD. :)

Time for an overnight format!
 
This is very tempting. I do need a 2tb hdd. Might have to bite and just pull the drive out of the enclosure.

since this is indeed the green drive, its not that big a deal. newegg often has them for $75-80, and with proper warranty.
