Figured somebody might want to build a mini-budget powerbox. This is the lowest price i've found on a full featured MATX Nforce2 MCP-T (no Sata though) which means it has soundstorm & firewire in addition to all the other NForce2 IGP goodies. Full overclock options present (unlike shuttle MN31N, check sig). An MATX/IGP/MCP-T southbridge/full OC options mobo is an extremly rare package and it was my motivation for posting it here. I'm debating on whether to buy one myself.

Anybody with knowledge of this specific mobo? Plz refrain from glittering generalities like "Aopen sucks!" or "Aopen's great!". If you have any complaints or compliments let it be with this specific mobo (list reasons plz). This way we can all make an informed buying decision. Thx for any input.

Edit: Hmm, upon further inspection this might be an mcp southbridge, meaning no soundstorm or firewire. Not as hot a deal if true, but it still is an MATX with full OC options, a rarity in itself... anybody have more info?

If you where looking for a m-atx, try a biostar m7ncg
(not the 400). the non 400 models had the mcp-t but had two
versions, 1.03 and 1.04 (the 1.04 had all the oc goodies)
Newegg doesn't stock this model anymore but they show up
from time to time in the refurbs;) for around 50bux
I have goten 1 of each so its a toss up what you will get
(i did get the 1.03 a while ago). good luck and thanks again
for all the hot deals and newegg refurb links:) .

ps, IEE1394/usb cable and SPDIFF conectors here
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProdu...142&manufactory=1442&DEPA=1&sortby=14&order=1

found them in this thread;)

Hey man no prob :)
I know the exact mobo you're talking about, the matx biostar NF2 igp mcp-t chipset. I built and maintain one for a famnily member...one of the best mobo's i've ever worked with, too bad they're not available anymore. I'll snap it up if i see it on the refurb page.

Here's the goody loaded MATX biostar IGP mcp-t in question for $68.99+ship

Perfect - I was looking for a good board to stuff into an Antec Minuet and use for an HTPC.
