I don't get that message, maybe your browser is to blame. It can't handle the Newegg ad. :p

that browser probably does come with flash?
add the plugin and it would just run the ad
not ask you to download it

I get same error. Using avant browser ("front end" for IE), it has the option to disable flash animations. When they are disabled, I get this prompt. When it is enabled, it of course works fine. Previous forum didnt have this issue. No other website has this issue. I have no problems just enabling it for hardforum since your flash ads arent too annoying.

The approach I took was a quick jaunt into proxomitron and just replaced "hardocp.swf" with nonsense. Saves the banner from loading and worrying about flash. I'll work on a slightly better proxmitron filter that actually removes the whole banner area, at the moment it just 'page cannot be found's the area, but it's a satisfactory intermin measure.

and quite often, Ive spotted specials I at least wanted to checkout, if not actually buy

its one of the best "fits" Ive seen for a forum
however Ive had just about enough of ScubaSteve up there
