So I've had so much troubles with my Athlon 64 3000+ system, I've acctually returned it to ncix.com since they gave me nothing but **** when I tried to go to them for help.

So I'm instead picking up a P4 2.8C and an Asus P4C-800E mobo.

I have some 2X512MB sticks of Kingston Hyper X PC 3200 Ram.

Now I want to know if it seems reasonable just to hit 3.2 Ghz on stock cooling from this.

I also have the choice of picking out a 2.6C would this be better?

I'll probally be trying to run in a 5:4 divider first

I'd like some advice on that since i'm having problems with stability

P4 2.8C
Gigabyte 8kNXP
1 gig Corsair 3500
Swiftech MCX478-V with 80MM thermaltake fan
400 watt Sparkle P/S
Temps right now are 35 idle 41 load
ALl voltages at stock CPU 1.525, mem 2.6

The HyperX 3200 contains CH-5 chips (I think). Some CH-5 just doesn't do much of anything well aside from stock speeds, so YMMV.

don't make the boy false promises I don't even run at the oc in my sig anymore =(
