Last Hour of Coin Mining

Network hashrate is half what it was a week ago and still dropping 88% of the profit of just mining straight LTC is just nuts.

I'm on X11 currently and just following whatever coins suchpool is pushing right now and falling back to some other places with betarigs set as my first pool on all of my rigs.

Wafflepool has always fluctuated wildly like that. I think they have a couple whales that jump ship from time to time, I know one guy that mines there on and off with 15+GH/s.

Times like now of course its smarter to be on LTC than a coin switcher. Is anything new even coming for scrypt or has all of the "action" moved to X11?

I moved all my stuff over to X11 a few days ago when the price started going up. Most of the switching pools I've seen have been complete shit lately. I pay $.05 per KW/h for power and all my rigs are in my basement, except the 2 in my main rig in my office, so I don't care about the heat/power savings of X11, just the $$.

since the hashrate is triple the actual profits are better right now even if you aren't even factoring in the heat.

I was just thinking the same thing this morning and we also have to take a look at the trend now too which also could be part of the issue.

What I've noticed is that the "in thing" for new coins is to have a really short mining period.... a couple weeks maybe, and then let the rest of the coins generate via PoS. So, if mining lasts only a couple weeks, then there is nothing for any of these multipools to profit off of for any lengthy period of time. They have to rely on older style Proof of Work coins, most which are already past their prime profit potential, to make the bulk of the profit. Even with the introduction of new algorithms, if the trend continues, mining will surely suffer.
