Virtual network adapter

My work sent me a Dell DA310. Does anybody know if it has its own internal networking hardware or does it rely on the host’s networking chip? I checked the hardware page for it and must have missed it if it’s there.

This thing seems like the usual usb docking station except in a different shape. And most docking station have their own hardware (and hence require drivers to load).
