Videos Don't Show on Second Monitor

I've got my laptop hooked up to my 65" widescreen right now. It's an old laptop but I think it'll do what I need it to do....or so I thought.

Right now I've got the tv plugged in via S-Vidio. The display is shown on the laptop lcd and the tv at the same time. The only problem is when I got to play a video from the hard drive (like a Family Guy Episode). It only shows the video being played on the lcd.

Any ideas as to what might cause this? The laptop has an ATI 3D Rage LT PRO in it.

If you are mirroring them. You have a wrong setting is the display properties. Just make sure extended desktop is turned off. It's in the display panel.
