ever since i formatted my laptop a while ago, i haven't been able to get USB 2.0 to work on it. yes, it is supported and it is supposed to be on the laptop (i checked with toshiba), but whenever i plug in my mp3 player, a dialog pops up in the systray and says that there is a hi-speed device plugged into a non-hi-speed hub (it's not connected to a hub, wtf? it's connected straight to the laptop.) i've also already installed xp pro sp1 to no avail with the usb issue.

anyway, any help would be much appreciated.

thanks.

Try updating the drivers for your usb controller, and letting windows find the driver. I think it might find the newer USB2 driver that was installed with SP1.

Hope that makes sense
