Our current server is a Mac 10.4 server running as our domain controller and is handling open directory, DNS, and SMB/Windows service. We wanted to upgrade this domain controller to 10.5 without having to rebuild the box from scratch so that we can migrate all of its open directory info and system settings to our new Mac 10.5 server. Has anyone ever tried upgrading from 10.4 to 10.5, and if so is there anything i should be careful of? I am going to take a backup of all of the open directory info because i know that when you upgrade, apple keeps none of that intact.
