We are looking at upgrading our second machine to a new 24"-26" display and our EVGA step up window is running out. I got on the list for a GTX295, but was wondering if this rig will push it. The system does OC well and we could run it at 2.8 no worries if needed. Should we upgrade anything else? The system is 1.5 years old, but super stable and performs well.

E6600 (w/ Zalman 9700 LED CPU Cooler)
EVGA 680I SLI 680i SLI LT (122-CK-NF67-A1)
Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4D R

Antec P180
EVGA GTX260 Core 216 55nm
Windows XP Pro 32bit

The rig in my sig. is running 1920x1200 just fine. Been playing SupCom: FA lately. No hitches.

Sounds good. You should be able to run that CPU higher than 2.8Ghz. ;) Try 3.2Ghz at least.

I have an E6600 as well and you can easily overclock it. I only put mine at 2.8GHz but it will go higher I just never tried. It handles Crysis Warhead just fine at 1680x1050 with a 4850 so I think you will be fine.
