I used to work with Ubiquiti, this is no surprise, Robert (founder and CEO) is a management disaster, constant developer turnover, complete chaos.

Till it happens again. If they are being honest the window was open for about 8 hours, with a thousand-ish accounts being able to watch video and make admin changes.

This is why cloud computing for mission critical data is a no go. I will keep my information local and on lock down. Good on Unifi for taking care of the problem and notifying affected individuals.

Bad on them for someone clearly doing a change of some sort with out proper QA before hand, bloody people "testing" in prod...fire em all.
