Has anyone seen any real benifit to removing the heat spreader on a Tualatin celeron or pIII cpu?
Also, picked up a Thermaltake TR2-M4 while I was getting a case fan today, they were marked down to 15 dollars so I figured why not. I've got a 1.4ghz celeron that went to 1.6ghz at 115mhz bus with no stability problems and no added voltage, running an old golden orb. The TR2-M4 looked a little beefier than the old g-orb, and its got that sideways blower instead of the fan, looks like it'd get rid of the dead spot.

Think it'll kick the g-orb's ass or is it unfit to lick its boots?
