Hello, instead of writng an essay, this is the status of my PC:

I want to buy a 4TB M.2 drive

I do not have a particular application for it, but i just want to have a decent drive for my OS and not have to mess about with clearing cache files or other ways to clean space.
I was considering getting 2x 2TB M.2 cards also.

I guess my only question is, does it make a difference what spec of 4TB M.@ Pcie4 i actually buy? surely it is just going to be way way quicker than the existing SSDs i have now right?
Based on my location Lexar is a good deal but i a comment on reddit i think, saying it doesnt have dram.
Not sure if this is a train smash or if it doesnt matter because its still way faster than what i already have ?

These are my 2 choices in mind

Lexar Ares 512GB / 1TB / 2TB / 4TB PCie 4.0 Gen 4 M.2 NVME SSD - Upto 7400Mbps Read / 6500Mbps Write

Silicon Power 4TB UD90 NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 SSD R/W up to 5,000/4,500 MB/s (SP04KGBP44UD9005)

Appreciate the suggestions

p.s. i also dont know why some of my components are reported as running under spec as per UserBenchmark , a little disappointed about that

So from these choices, and coming from standard Sata SSD form factor, which of the below would be better or does anybody have knowledge of them:

They fit my budget. this is the thing
Not sure why a new thread was merited when this one was literally already at the top of the sub-forum list:

My post is targeting the 2 listed budget items i am interested i guess.
I hear you and i saw that post, i am just considering because of my location its very hard to get products that others CAN get, and also budget is my consideration.

SN850X is the best performance drive. It's the only drive I'll buy.
^^THIS^^

Between my 6x personal rigs & my clients rigs, I have a total of 41x WD Blacks of various sizes in service (most are SN850x's & SN750's) neveranottaproblemo....

And with the recent price crashes, the SN850x is just about the best deal for a top-quality drive, WITH DRAM, solid build quality, performance and firmware too :)

WD or Solidigm (formerly Intel). I will no longer support Samsung with their 870 EVO crap they've pulled and how they've handled it.

That was the most painful situation it's like they don't want you to warranty it. I had one of them and it took me longer to find a way to start the RMA process more than anything. And I would add the SK Hynix m.2 drives to that list. The gen 3 is on-sale today on Amazon btw $92 for 2TB. 4th gen $102.
