Planar has announced and is shipping a new 27", 1920x1080 multitouch monitor for Windows 8, the Helium PCT2785.

Based on the datasheet (PDF), it's an MVA panel (5000:1 contrast ratio), with "up to 20 touch points", VESA compatibility, VGA, HDMI and Displayport connections, edge-lit LED backlight, glass front, and an adjustable stand (15 - 70 degree tilt).
The monitor is listed at $899 at Tiger Direct (that should be a Hardforum commission link).
It's not the sexiest thing in the world, but is another option in the >2 touchpoint, wide-viewing angle touch display market.
I'm keeping my eye on developments in this area, and will post as I find them. My last post was on the Acer T232HL and T272HL.
