I was under the impression that timer/lower timings were best for F@h. I strapped my ram to 1066 (8-8-8-20-86-1T) from 1333 (9-9-9-?24-34-1T and my tpf incvreased.

Was/am I missimformed?

Would going 2T help?

The xmp-1600 profile is 9-9-9-24-41-2T
Ram is Corsair cmx6gx3m3a1600c9

Oh i'm at 185 blk

Going from 1333 to 1066 is what killed you.

No, the speed never changed, it's still 1480mhz, the strap is just setting timing to the profile.

Thought the same thing as Tobit when I seen this in your OP.

Sorry about the wording, the sr-2 has 2 settings, Ram multi it's the usual, and the strap settings are 800, 1033, 1600, 1866

I've added a 2nd screen of the 2 strap settings

I dont'know that we ever truly figured out what the strap setting did other than adjust timings. Why not leave it at 1333 and manually set the memory timings to what they are with strap set to 1066? It may be controlling something else we don't know about.

Another thing you may want to try is running at 1850 c10 or something. Memory speed normally trumps timings slightly.

my guess is that if the TPF increased is that you are running into memory corruption errors with the tighter timing. and like musky said clock speed on the ram trumps timing.

Okay... Thanks

Musky, i'm pretty certain that its a cheat to set the ram timings to the factory settings...

Not sure if my poor ram will take 1850, but it might be worth a try.
