Thermaltake Big Water 745

thats like putting a deathwish on your pc, if you read up on it you'll see that the pumps are complete crap and the cpu block will crack easily, not to mention the radiator fittings leak often too.

a couple of people on here will say the new 500lph pump of theirs is ok, and the new all copper cpu block. but try to stay away from them in general as their radiators are aluminum and its not good to mix that with copper blocks.

i have actually seen the 760i kit now, and i will be honest its not the shite i was expecting it to be, but when you can get the swiftech H20 compact kit for 119 dollars from newegg its a no brainer for me.

The block is a decent performer, but for some reason it cracks more often than other acryllic blocks.

I'm using the 400/L pump and it works quite well.

Ahh so the peanut gallery has spoken.

I like mine, the results speak for themselves, see my sig, running 16 hours a day at least for the last 17 months.

For $70 you cannot go wrong and it is an excellent system for a beginner as it is easy to modify. You do need to buy a spring loaded hold down kit from Danger Den for about $6 so you can mount the water block like I did, see the pictures on the site above.

Here is the kit.

The picture just shows the rods, but you get everything you need, nuts, rods, washers and springs.

Get youself an mcw60 graphics waterblock with 3/8ths barbs and you are done.

Actually this is the only Tt watercooling product I would recommend, the rest of their stuff is mostly crap. This is a high flow, low restriction system so you dont want to later be swapping out to a waterblock with nozzels etc. but I have seen no need and think it will do fine even with a quad, I run the very quiet Tt fans on low all the time.

Personally most ready made kits arent very good performers and money could have been spent on a simple, cost effective better alternative. I look at it this way... $70 for something that isnt that good and if god forbid something descided to crack or rupture because of poor build quality and destroy how much $$$ in components, compared to spending a touch more and getting as suggested by nightwalker... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835108100
