Switch keeps locking up (I am out of ideas)....Need help.

When I first installed the switch it took a week for the switch to lock up. (system LED stays on or off - no longer blinks)
When the switch locks up - it no longer gives out DHCP or is able to be pinged & I cannot login via the console port

As I have replaced the OLD switch all over the building (4-8 port switches) the frequency of the POE switch locking up is not every 24 hours or less.

I have traced and tested every single cable that is connected to the patch panel & switch and I found some bad cables and such, but everything was replaced that failed.

I have enabled the local log on the switch (level 4) to sync every 2 hours, but it showed nothing.

I have been trying to learn WireShark, and I simply have been unable to find what is wrong
I figure it is a loop or storm or flood of some type, but I dont know how when I have check all the wires.

3 main switches
Switch 2
connected to the internet
connected to switch 1 via port 23
connected to switch 3 via port 24

Switch 1
connected to switch 2 via port 44

Switch 3
connected to switch 2 via port 23

I am not sure what is going on, and need help in figuring out what is causing the switch to lock up / freeze.

Looking to setup "storm control" on the switch

should the 3 thresholds ratio = 100%
for ex:
workstation / access point / phone (each individual port) (i only have 60 users in this office)
broadcast = 5%
multicast = 10%
unicast = 85%

unlink port (to an unmanaged switch)
broadcast = 10%
multicast = 30%
unicast = 60%

???

or
workstation / access point / phone (each individual port) (i only have 60 users in this office)
broadcast = 2%
multicast = 2%
unicast = 10%

Maybe your IT/net admins should take care of this? What is leading you to think it's a "loop or storm or flood of some type"?
 
Quickest way to see if it's a hardware issue is to get another one and config it the same way and swap it. If this problem only recently started, then it's probably a hardware issue. Luckily a lot of TP-Link stuff has a lifetime warranty, so you can swap it and then sell off the warranty unit when it comes back.
 
Can you not console in and monitor/dump the logs realtime, until it freezes?
 
Have you got the latest firmware? Lots of fixed things listed that look possibly related.

I have some tp-link 'easy smart' switches which are halfway managed, and polling the status api resulted in stuff half crashing over time (iirc, arp port tables stopped updating, but the UI still mostly worked) and there's some other barely working stuff. Based on that, I wouldn't get their fully managed stuff and expect it to actually work either. But yeah, some sort of console logging in realtime would be the way to go. Shouldn't be too hard if it crashes in less than 24 hours.
