SuSE moob needs help

i'm just trying out SuSE and i can't get the networking to work(ie. can't connect to the internet). i'm running my cable modem through a d-link router but i can't find the server.
can anyone help?

is your router set to DHCP?

if you are getting an ip, but not able to connect anywhere, see if you can hard-code the dns servers in YaST.
