Hi
I received a Crucial M4 64Gb SSD for my birthday. I'm new to SSD and would like some advice on how to install/setup/configure this thing properly. I've installed new HDD's before but I understand SSD require a little more tweaking to get it right.

I plan to use the SSD on my HTPC which has Win7 64bit and Gigabyte 880gma-ud2h mobo (Sata III).

Lastly, it has Firmware 0001 installed....should I first upgrade to 0002 which appears to be out on Crucial's website?

Thanks!!

OK thanks. Wasn't sure if I needed to worry about AHCI or TRIM or stuff like that.
You actually DO want to make sure that AHCI mode is enabled for the SATA port that the M4 is connected to (but this applies to today's HDDs just as well). If you use the M4 on your main rig, you're good with regards to TRIM as Win 7 has you covered.
