Is the SSD info and reviews presented on these sites accurate?
Seems some people have a problem with OEM's facts; however, all
state SSDs are faster and last longer than HDDs.

"HDDs, their average failure rate is 6 years, and life expectancy is 9 – 11 years."

"data storage integrity will be maintained for well over 200 years"
vs.

"The operational lifespan of a computer HDD is typically over three years."

I think a good deal of this information is hogwash however I have to say that I am guilty of that myself considering that I always say that the expected lifetime of a hard drive is 5 years. I have no way to verify that.. There are only a few players that could know the true answer. Google being one of them. Although even if they do know the answer they only know what past models did not what current drives do. I personally do not put any faith at all into MTBF. The main reason is why didn't every problem drive (deskstars, Seagate 7200.10/11/12 ...) have a really low MTBF?
