It is Monday and past 9AM EST. I am just assuming that this was when ATi was going to spill the beans on something. I REALLY hope that it is not just a 512MB X850XT cause nobody cares about that...

What?

The announcement that X800XL and X850XL will be available in AGP?
See I dunno. I thought the big annoucement was going to be a RS480 motherboard of some kind and a 512MB X850XT PE or possibly a 512MB R520 based card. I dunno what is going on.

I was hoping for some update from the show. This is probably the most active thread on the net on it because of the oc'ing competition... http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=734558#post734558

lol... if you go back a couple pages they have cascade cooling mounted but the hardawre is all fuzzed out. Probably find out in that thread soon enough.

edit: actually... here is an article.

Looks like no new big news. 512mb cards may or may not come out in quantity with 512mb. No other collasall events no SLI rigs knocked out of 3dmark but damn if they didnt try to beat 'em with one card and the help of the top dog OC'ers.

Thanks for finding that, but geez is that ALL?? Who the heck cares about a 512MB X850XT PE. I sure as heck don't. Also who cares if a X850XT can come close to beating my SLI rig? I would care if they were doing so on air cooling and no volt mods. Those are the most extreme overclockers in the world using direct line feeding LN2 on those CPU's and GPU's and they can't even beat a SLI machine. I was hoping for a R520 showing and possibly a motherboard from ATi capable of running SLI R520's. I feel let down. Pfft let this thread sink...
