So i bought some new ram and...

Well i bought new ram for my system thinking my ram was faulty and the reason for my system not powering on. Now my system is up and running and have 4gb of new ram sitting there which i bought for 30 bucks at frys should i just keep it and run 8gb on my machine. Running vista business 64.

For sure im returning the p5q deluxe which i bought as well because well thats just more money

Thoughts on 8gb ram?

yea sure why not......i would run a memtest just to be sure once you have all 8gigs in.

Is there a BIOS update for your motherboard? It may fix some of the ram issues.
