i have an Abit IS7-E and we all know abit reports temps to high, right now my 2.4C is running prime 95, and its been going for like 30 mins at 3.2 ghz
the temps its hitting are around the high 50s, like 59C and sometimes up to 61C
i know this is really hot for my chip and some people wouldnt imagine going this high
BUTTTTTTT
i figure:
A) Prime95 stresses the chip more than itll probably be stressed usually by my gaming
B) My abit board is reading high so i can subtract some degrees from my temp
C) Intel says 72C is too hot for my chip so keeping it where it is now is safe
Do yall agree with my reasoning? and how long will the chip last me if i OC it, i dont want it dying in a few months
