Well, boss gave me a project sometime ago and I am kinda stuck here. So hoping to get some answers..

Objective: get shared storage for 2 node cluster
preferred interface is SCSI
Dont need alot of storage, like 50 gigs would be enough. Need this for a failover SQL database
Platform is Win2003 Enterprise Server..

Now, every site I go to about shared storage, they want to push me fibre channel SAN, and I would have to sell my kidney to get that. I am looking for something fairly cheap. I know that Hard Drive box would cost me some dough since it has to be rack mountable..

Pretty much I was thinking Node 1 has 1 SCSI card, Node 2 has 1...

Daisy chain it PC1, HDD, PC2, but not sure if this would work. If anyone could contact me on AIM (SN is Darkie007) or post here about how to do this, it would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance

Now don't take my word for it, but I think you need some sort of "Switched" storage system like Fiber channel or iSCSI.

I think I've seen rack enclosures that have multiple SCSI ports on the back. This may allow you to hook up more than one system to the rack.
