Ok so I know you all love some awesome MS Paint pictures :)

Living Room
1 TV
2 PS3
3 Router - Hoping to use as AP/Switch
4 Wifes Laptop

My Room
5 My computer
6 File Server
7 Router - Modem is in this room.

Green Line Ethernet
Pink thingy Wireless.

So I got 2 new routers as hand me downs. One is a WNR3500 and the other is a WNDR3300. I always wanted a way to get N to my PS3 as it is our media extender, so when theses fell in my lap this is what I hatched. Will it work, am I missing anything, is there any better way?

I cant run cables land lord wont allow me to drill and I hate crawls anyhow. I have never used DDRT, 3300 can be DDRT and 3500 cant be.

How are one two and three going to get internet? ;) That the only thing you seem to be missing.

You could setup a wireless bridge. You have to wait for someone who knows more about bridges ect... to chime in

You can use Wireless Distribution Service with DDWRT if the 3500 is a V2 or later. That would allow you to bridge the two routers. You might be able to might the network as well, with WDS on the 3300 and the normal software on the 3500.

Both of my ps3's are wired to the network so I have no advice really but just wanted to say awesome diagram. Love it.
