SETI top GPUs for Linux

Now that I can make use of the heat, I thought I'd revive SETI over the winter. While reading up on the project I ran across their Top GPUs page and found the list interesting:

Really surprised Pascal cards are not leading the pack, what am I missing?

I think there was a driver/software issue with cuda6; when you use cuda8 on a custom-build app it’s quite fast. I would need to dig in my seti wow data but with the cuda8 I was a happy camper.

And not many might use custom app therefore the stats is not reflecting the potential.

Also looks like OpenCL is considerably faster than CUDA:

Looks like 1070s are about the price point and watt/point.

The following information is all I know to get the most out of Seti in linux. I know it is a lot faster than the Windows executables.

Use the "special sauce" linux seti version from here:

Also there is an additional command line option you can add to give it an additional boost:

PS: I would add -nobs to your command line for a little extra boost, but requires more CPU use, 1 thread / card.

Uh, not sure I have one for BOINC, but my SETI user = Dr.Diesel, but I just changed that from Big Block (what I started with in May of 1999) this morning, may not have propagated all the way through yet.

SETI is BOINC.

I see usernames for both Dr.Diesel and Big Block on the stats page.

Big Block joined May '99 so I am guessing this is you.

They also have a Dr.Diesel that joined back in Feb of '00.

I've noticed neither have joined a team. Join [H]?
