Anyone know of any Disk erasing programs that are DOD certified? I can find plenty for sale but I wanted to try the free route first. Trialware won't hack it, since I will need to do this routinely.

I use software called KillDisk. Not sure who makes it. I have a few floppies back at my office. Google Killdisk and I think it is the first link that comes up.. I think it's freeware too. Cheers! -Greg
 
I know of no freeware that is DOD certified sorry

DBAN is very similar to Autoclave, and at the bottom, youll find similar aps linked

if you use Auotclave it will specifically tell you its not DOD certified
if you actually need the cert, youll probably have to pay
