How do you seal an anti-static bag? I am not sure of the best way to do it so the bag actually does its job. Thanks.

You would be able to use masking tape or invisible tap to seal the bag. It's best to fold the bag the bit -- almost as if you're closing an envelope -- before you tape it.

exactly

that's how most companies ship products that are in anti-static bags

fold the end of it where the opening is, and then tape it a little, don't need to go overboard, just tape it enough so that it won't open by accident

Thanks. I was under the impression you had to melt them shut like a sandwich bag.

You could use one of those bag sealers, but it's best to ensure that the "sealed" edge doesn't touch the component inside before it cools completely.

It depends what you are trying to protect from, if it's just static then fold and tape is fine.

Some vendors (particually hard drive vendors) vacuum-pack with a dessicant. Afaict this is to avoid condensation issues in transit.
