Seagate 600 Series 480GB SSD $220

Awesome SSD, and you can't argue about the price. I would choose this over the Samsung Evo any day and, well, I did. Zero issues, zero complaints. Highly recommended.

The 240 PRO is around 119 still now too.

The 240GB is the Pro series with the 5 year warranty, that is what I ordered.

Yes, duh, I totally forgot to post that Amazon has the same price on the 480GB. I checked that last night when I first saw the TD deal and I totally forgot. Sorry! Thanks, Robstar!

That is not a 600 Pro series, despite what your search says (YOUR KEY WORDS "keywords=seagaet+600+pro"),

http://www.seagate.com/internal-hard-drives/enterprise-hard-drives/ssd/600-pro-ssd/

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8936552 (ended up no tax and shipping to CA)

I just wanted to point this out since it seems like that people like to point people to the regular 600 series over the 600 Pro series. "Why did you pay $120 for a $90 SSD? (LINK)" with a link to the 600 series, none enterprise SSD.

EDIT: Perhaps I should make myself clearer, Pro version (enterprise grade), free shipping, no tax and cheaper at $120 from Tiger Direct.

I never claimed it was pro. The subject of the OP says 480G ssd, NOT pro.

Nobody said anything about the Pro version other than the guy who got the 240GB earlier. This thread is about the non-Pro series. Nobody is twisting peoples' arms trying to get them to buy the regular 600 over the Pro.

Ya, this is the BEST PRICE I've seen of any drive with a 5yr warranty, and it's made to last too... i've got half dozen unused SSD, and I'm getting excited about later this year so none for me this round :D

I made some minor updates to my post, just to clear things up.

Your URL includes the search terms "keywords=seagaet+600+pro" (is says in the search box "seagate 600 pro") and is labelled "Same price @ Amazon", hence it can be a bit misleading to someone who doesn't look to closely or know any better.

Seems 500G SSD's are dropping in price across the board... i guess sales are good so production has ramped up!

It's up to $229 now at TD and $246 at Amazon.

I've got mine installed and loving it. Almost as fast as the Samsung 840 Pro. The Seagate cloning software worked better than Samsung's for me.

I got the 240GB 600 Pro in, loving it, installed a few games on it , loading really nice and fast and moved my pagefile to it.
