Yeah this card has slid under everyone's radar and it is likely the best value in gaming right now. Performance seems closer to the 6700xt than the 6600xt and 10GB of vram is perfect for this performance class.



$280 for this performance is fantastic. (Runs before Microcenter trolls come in)

Well said. Solid card for 1080p max details and 1440p mid details when paired with a solid CPU.

Specs are very similiar to the Series X. Both 10 GB of usable vram. Both around 12 Gflops. Bandwidth is lower on the 6700 but that has Infinity Cache.

So $280 for gpu + $80 for R5 4500 + $80 B450 + $30 16GB ddr4 (yes, it that cheap now) makes $470 plus the cost of PSU, storage and case brings PC gaming very competitive in a pure value standpoint once again. Much better than when the Series X was released.

Now of only PC game development can address all the software stuttering issues popping up lately...

Basically the cost of a PS5 and probably very similar in performance.
 
If I hadn't been able to come up with some extra money to get a 6750xt this is the exact card I was looking at when I purchased a card at the end of last year although the price was a good bit higher then. If someone is looking for a card in this price range, it would be insane to pass on this card.
 
I have this very card since Aug 2022 and it came with 3 games back then for $379 = Forspoken / Saints Row / Sniper Elite 5.. now I do use it in light 4K with Fortnite and World of Tanks on a 60Hz 4K Roku TV that cost me $228 at Wal - Mart, that gives me 1080p/1440p/2160p to pick from and the TV has a gamer mode. the card is on B550m / PCI Express 4 / 32Gb of DDR4 3600Mhz CL16 SR / Sam / 5600x / Gen 3 M2 game drive with XBox Game Bar for Direct Storage.

Unofficial benchmarks for the upcoming cards on top contrasted to a 6700 10GB benchmark below.

Very possible that the 6700 10 GB will edge out both the RX 7600 and RTX 4060 while trading blows closer to that of the 3060ti. RT is likely lower and close to that of a 2060 Super with 10 GB, which is still not too shabby.

The gap between the midrange and ultra high end continues to widen.

Well the 4060ti being such a sorry excuse of silicon really reaffirms these great deals on last gen cards.
 
Now currently out of stock.. Funny though as before the limit was "20 per customer". Who is buying these :ROFLMAO:
 
I can still find the 6700 on Newegg and Amazon for $270-$280. Puzzling why so few reviewed it. Most put the 7600 at 5% over the 6650xt. Toms puts the 6700 at 10% over the 6650xt. More importantly, there will be less texture pop in and way better 1% lows.

Driver support is a non-issue. The consoles use RDNA 2 so there will be plenty of support for it.

Yeah with this thing around the 7600 is DOA, extra 2 gb of vram is a big deal.
 
I’m going out on a limb here maybe but I think the 6700 10g will sit at about this price until they are gone. If it’s a card anyone is interested in brand new I’d buy it now. Total speculation on my part.

I agree and suspect the stock of the 6700 class cards is probably getting low which is why we saw the 7600 get released. It may also mean the stock of 6600 class cards is getting low as well.
 
Yeah those 6600s at 179 new are really getting blown out. Nvidia is historically reluctant to drop prices so much even on last gen stuff. There are how many gazilillin 3060s from crypto farms —and no one wants to come off on price there. I bought a used 3060 12g for 250 and that took some haggling. They should be 250 new by now.

Agreed. The inflated price of lower end Nvidia cards has been a joke for a while now.

At $280 the 12g 3060 is a very good deal. Both the 6700 and the 3060 will likely be a better by than waiting for the $300 4060 8g.

That said, Nvidia does still seem to manage memory better with 8gb if you want the shiny new thing with AVI.
 
Not as bad as the Polaris arch where the 4g rx570 occasionally failed when the 3g 1060 was fine, but Nvidia still looks to have the advantage when 8gb is just on the edge.

nvidia had better texture compression at the time.. amd cards have generally used about 5% more vram over the nvidia cards and still does. as time went what ever nvidia was using for texture compression stopped working with dx12. AMD took a stab at using system memory to act as page swap for textures with the fury cards which actually worked quite well with the few games that supported it but gave up on it after that.

the 7600 launched as an oem card originally then by the time it hit the consumer market 6-8 months later everyone lost interest in the low/mid range market. 6800 suffered the same problem until people realized it was actually a damn good card for the price. the cards also weren't made in huge numbers and had limited model availability over the XT variants until about a year ago.
 
The reason you never hear about the RX 6700 10Gb from AMD, they didn't make it! Sapphire / XFX / Power Color made the cards in house and thought to be designed for a Mining card, Soft release was June 2022 as a gaming card after the fallout in Mining happen and Nvidia didn't even know about it and may still be clueless, as why I got my Sapphire card back in Aug 2022 with three games, it replaced my RX 5700 that was sold for $700 in the mining craze.

It also released at $379 and has never been priced up to meet the needs of Greedy sellers.
