Ever since I switched to Windows 7 I notice a never ending list of directories on the root of my C:\ drive like 80b269ec710dcddd90 each with a Sandbox subfolder. There is never anything in either of the directories either.

I like my clean folder structure. Anyone know what/why they are created? Haven't been able to find an answer.

temp folders for Windows updates.
no clue why they aren't removed, though.

I see it happen all the time on my XP also, and even get one of those folders on a secondary hdd or even external hdd if it's hooked up when updates are installed.
