Anyone got DDR4 4266 Mhz to work with Taichi? My G.Skill one doesn't work with it.

I think someone managed to get ~4000 MHz RAM working by disabling all except 1 core and running the CPU at ~800 MHz.

no there's no way you're getting 4266 working.. the hard limit is just a little over 3600mhz without disabling any cores or downclocking and even then it's still a silicon lottery. you'll probably have to play around with the SOC and ram voltage though to get 3400 or 3600.

I was planning a new build and searching newegg for good Ram modules.
It looks like Trident 3600 with cas 15 is possibly the best chance for running ddr4 3600. Not cheap, but could be worth it.

I just bought 32gb of gskill 3000 for my 1950x. I literally cant tell a diff between 3000 &3200. Is 3600 even worth the expense and effort. I have no idea how much of a diff it will make on Threadripper till we get them running.

Not sure about TR but Ryzen sees nice improvemen with 3200 mhz ram. 3600 might see even more of a boost but I am not certain
