I've noticed that in order to properly tag your files after ripping them, EAC and other ripping software contact FreeDB and send over the Music CD's ID which basically says what is what and where on the CD and then the files are tagged accordingly. Unfortunately I don't know how to save that CD ID and I would like to know if there is a way. The reason I ask is because I'd like to save that tag information on each file so that in the future, I can add go to a database and look up my albums then update them with more tag information.

Are there any music databases that store stuff like lyric information, notes, basically all the ID3v2 tag information that freedb conveniently doesn't post?

CD ID's are calculated based on the "nearly unique" properties of the disc and its contents. The wiki article discusses how to calculate the value. You could write a little proggy to calculate it yourself.
