This morning I go to power on my laptop and I hear a pop/snap. Then the power button doesn't seem to have any resistance. It won't power on... This has happen before and though I have a warranty, I am presenting a tech demo soon and this is the only hardware I have capable of performing. (VR)

I got a service manual and with a little prodding, I took apart (had to pull both GPU's and heats sinks and about 50 screws) and pulled out the power button board.
Look at the plastic piece... Now look at the silver contact... You can tell that was normally a part of it... But it broke off... I'm wondering, if I put an extremely small amount of high temp plastic epoxy if that would solve it?

as long as its positioned correctly, probably. However, I'd be cautious doing a repair that would void the warranty. What manufacturer is this?

One of the worst problems my dear. Don't do it at home. just consult with a technician. If you do experiments on home, loss will increase. Don't try at home. Best luck
