Registered ECC, and Registered Non Ecc Question...

I have an SK8V with Corsair PC3200 Registered Non-Ecc memory. i am looking to add another GB to the collection, and have come accross some Corsair PC3200 Registered ECC memory. part numbers are 3200R and 3200RE respectively. can i use the ECC with the NON ECC while both of them are registered? if so, would disabling ECC in the BIOS allow the ECC memory to act as if it was NON ECC?

I believe you can run both if ECC is disabled in BIOS, but I would e-mail both Asus and Corsair to see if there are any known compatability problems.
